Welcome to Episode 7 of The Ecocide Report! In this episode Chidi and Jojo recap some ecocide law highlights from August to early November 2023, including proposed and progressing ecocide bills in the Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, Spain (Catalunya), Italy, Mexico and most recently Scotland. The pair discuss endorsements of the global movement to criminalise ecocide from UN Human Rights Chief Volker Turk, the Nordic Council and the Taskforce on Nature Markets (report link below) and discuss ambitions for the up-coming UNFCC COP28 conference and the ICC's Assembly of States Parties at which Stop Ecocide INternational will have a significant presence.
